For shop operators

DealMonitor is a price alert service: people save a product and a target price and get notified when the price drops. We sell nothing and we do not compare against you — we send interested buyers to the shop they chose themselves.

How we operate

We honour your robots.txt
If your robots.txt disallows a page, we do not fetch it. Existing price alerts on those pages are stopped automatically.
We read your terms
New shops go through an automated terms review. If your terms prohibit automated access, we do not track the shop.
We do not bypass bot protection
If your shop uses bot protection, waiting rooms or captchas, we treat that as a no. We do not attempt to work around such measures — we remove the affected shop from tracking instead.
We keep the load minimal
A watched product is typically fetched about once a day — no more. Requests are spread across the day to avoid load spikes.
We only fetch public product pages
No accounts, no logins, no carts, no orders. We read the price every visitor sees anyway.

Some shops see it the other way round: they want their customers to hear about it when their target price is reached — and then buy from them. If that is you, get in touch. We will set up a fixed identifier so you can recognise our requests beyond doubt and let them through your bot protection. That saves us detours through heavier methods, reduces load on your servers — and your customers get notified more reliably.

Would you rather not be tracked?

Then opt your domain out — no reason required, no questions asked. We confirm the request by email to an address on your domain and then stop every price alert for your shop. Price data already stored is no longer updated.

1. Fill in the form with your shop domain and a privileged email on that domain. 2. We send a one-time confirmation link to that address. 3. Once you click the link, we stop tracking your domain. Existing trackers are archived and no longer refreshed. 4. If something changes, you can always contact us again.
